Tempe Artists Guild artists decorated frames for the City of Tempe's Spring Awards function.

The sunny morning of Saturday, April 5, reflected the bright spirits of Tempe residents enjoying the annual Neighborhood Celebration at Kiwanis Park. The festive atmosphere included free breakfast, coffee, live music, small business vendors, and yard games, all to celebrate Tempe’s residents. City Mayor Corey Woods presented certificates to individuals and organizations recognizing their outstanding service to their neighborhoods.

The city asked TAG artists to decorate the frames for the certificates. The finished frames were stunning, and all the award winners remarked on how much they appreciated the extra touches. When Mayor Woods acknowledged Tempe Artists Guild as the creators of the frames, the announcement drew extended and appreciative applause.

In 2024, TAG received Tempe’s Excellence in Arts and Culture Award for Artistic Engagement, so decorating the 2025 frames was was a terrific way to give back to our community.
