about:

I was born into an Air Force family and have lived all over the United States, from Massachusetts to California. My roots are strongest in South Dakota, where much of my family resides, and Arizona, where I currently live.

I have been drawing and painting since 2nd grade and studied Fine Arts for two years at the University level before getting a Bachelor of Science in Business. Although my art took a back seat to my career and raising a family for many years, I took up painting again after my children left home for college.

I have been painting since 2014 and have enhanced my knowledge and skills by taking workshops at the Scottsdale Artist School. I have been a member of the Tempe Artist Guild, the Scottsdale Artist League and am currently a member of the High Country Art Association in Pinetop, Arizona.

I find painting is most fun when it stems from my life and experiences. My compositions are frequently a result of my travels in Arizona. I enjoy the outdoors and spend a lot of time hiking, camping and fishing. My landscape themes center around my outdoor activities and my love of Arizona , and I frequently paint “en plein air” although I often finish my compositions in the studio.

I currently reside in Queen Creek, Arizona and Pinetop, Arizona with my husband, James White.
