2022 was a great year for the Tempe Artists Guild. Guest artists were our guests at monthly meetings, and at three all-day Saturday workshops. There were opportunities to sell art through an exhibit at Mirabella, a beautiful new retirement community in Tempe, at a two-day pop-up exhibit at Liberty Wildlife featuring paintings of the hawks and owls residing there, at the Tempe History Museum, and most recently at the Petersen House, where TAG artists sold coasters of original art. TAG offers scholarships to art students, sponsors a Creative Arts Club that teaches art for memory-care patients, and reaches out to schools. But at the holiday party, which doubles as the annual business meeting, most of the time is pure fun, with a sumptuous potluck and visiting with live music and a little friendly competition at Pictionary.
