Individual Mentor Consultations will provide a private, 20-minute consultation between a TAG member and a professional visual artist to offer individualized feedback on the member’s body of work.
2025 Mentors with TAG President Marie Provine
TAG members will bring 6-8 of their paintings to the appointment. The mentor will examine the artworks, ask questions, discuss solutions to technical and creative issues, explore exhibition opportunities, and suggest new areas for creative growth.
2026 Mentors: Frank Gonzales, Gingher Leyendecker, Joan Waters, Agustin Vargas, Sue Hunter, Lee Davis.
TAG will engage six extraordinary mentors who were either guest speakers in the Speaker Series or Workshop instructors for previous guild events. The artists will be invited to serve as mentors based on their high level of artistic achievement, ability to communicate, and overall positive connection with TAG artists.
Each mentor will share expertise in their medium: oil, acrylic, mixed media, pastel, or watercolor. We will rent meeting rooms at the Clark Park Community Center in Tempe and schedule members to attend their consultations at their appointed times.
