Summary
Ann Clarke has discovered that the best way to do charitable giving is through her art.
Ann is a local Watercolor artist whose painting sales benefit local charities. Most painters like to share their art, often through sales. But Ann is unusual in linking her support for charitable organizations to the sale of her art.
Ann explains how this passion for helping charities through art developed. Her background in teaching and volunteering at Cardon Children’s Medical Center gave her insight into the importance of local non-profits that help to meet human needs in the area. In the process she learned a good deal about various charities. Choosing which to support with her art was an easy task, at least at first. As she became an established supporter of some charities, she was often directed to consider others. That made those decisions more complicated! Ann’s art highlights and celebrates happiness and connection. She enjoys painting birds, pets (especially local dogs), and the lovely plants found in the Desert Botanical Garden and elsewhere.
Ann sees art as a gift that she can share and that can be enjoyed daily by others as well. She hopes that everyone will share her joy in life’s creation.
